Overview
With its long history and a discography that is both substantial and widely praised, the famed ensemble is always a welcome visitor to Wigmore Hall. On this occasion Viennese classics are to the fore, together with a string quartet by Sir Stephen Hough (written for the Takács in 2021), whose title makes oblique reference to the group of French composers, Les Six.
