Overview
Three exceptional soloists offer a selection of works for string trio. The Beethoven is one of a set of three pieces dating from 1797-8; Enescu’s piece was written almost exactly a century later in 1899, and the Hungarian Dohnányi composed his work while in London on a concert tour in 1902, while his compatriot Kodály’s piece was written three years later.
