Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023, the admired quartet holds a special reputation for its interpretations of Benjamin Britten: reviewing a recent cycle on disc, Gramophone wrote, ‘The early Divertimenti, played with considerable wit and elegance, provide some much-needed contrast to the intensity of it all’.
