Praised by The Scotsman for her ‘golden precision and effortless virtuosity’, Fenella Humphreys’s Wigmore Hall Residency continues with a lunchtime recital that includes the delightful Air, Variations & Finale by Dorothy Howell (1898-1982), ‘the English Richard Strauss’. She performs in partnership with two like-minded colleagues, ever-ready to forge compelling connections between music from different eras in a programme that includes Magnus III: Distant Echoes, Alasdair Nicolson’s haunting memorial to Peter Maxwell Davies.
