Overview

Born into a family of musicians in the Italian-Slovenian border town of Gorizia, Alexander Gadjiev imbibed a multitude of Central European cultures during his childhood. The experience informs his imaginative approach to different musical languages and styles, directed in this programme to a carefully curated choice of evocative compositions from France and Musorgsky’s irresistible responses to artworks by the Russian architect and painter Viktor Hartmann.
