Overview

Often delicate, always intimate, Freya Waley-Cohen’s music is rooted deeply in timeless human emotions. The Sacconi Quartet marks the 25th anniversary of its foundation with a new work from the British-American composer, presented with Haydn’s glorious ‘Bird’ Quartet and Beethoven’s transcendent Op. 132, with its central ‘Hymn of Thanksgiving to God for recovery from illness’.
