Wigmore Hall’s focus on the Kanneh-Masons turns the spotlight on the brother-and-sister duo of Sheku and Isata, acclaimed for their empathetic and insightful artistry. Their programme includes Nadia Boulanger’s haunting Pieces for cello and piano, composed at the start of the First World War, and an arrangement of Rebecca Clarke’s magnificent Viola Sonata, written at the war’s end.
