Overview

Austrian mezzo-soprano Patricia Nolz, a fast-rising star presented as a Great Talent at the Vienna Konzerthaus throughout the 2023-24 season and acclaimed for her artistry as a member of the Vienna State Opera, journeys through the Romantic imagery of four mature songs by Robert Schumann to reach haunting works from her homeland. She and Malcolm Martineau conclude with Frauenliebe und -leben, Schumann’s peerless reflections on a woman’s evolving love for her husband.
