Timothy Ridout and Federico Colli share the attributes of dazzling virtuosity, probing musical intelligence and a devotion to taking creative risks. Their chamber music partnership, guaranteed to ignite passions and inspire audiences, turns to a Romantic mix of masterworks by Robert Schumann and Brahms and Shostakovich’s final composition, the enigmatic Viola Sonata, completed weeks before his death in 1975.
