Overview

Formed at the Royal College of Music in 2015, the Consone Quartet progressed to receive a prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust fellowship and become the first period-instrument string quartet to join BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists scheme. It opens its lunchtime programme with an exquisite arrangement of Clara Schumann’s Romances, three divine miniatures that form a captivating preface to the lyrical outpourings of Schubert’s celebrated ‘Rosamunde’ Quartet.
