Overview

Russian-born, Belgian pianist Denis Kozhukin, First Prize winner of the 2010 Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels, has cultivated a highly personal and persuasive brand of pianism, capable of jaw-dropping displays of virtuosity and producing infinite tonal shades and poetic nuances. Following his performance of Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto at the BBC Proms, the Telegraph praised his ‘combination of eager sensitivity and intelligence’ which ‘made the piece seem young and vital’.
