Programme

Overview

Belle Époque Paris, centre of the art world from the 1880s to the First World War, gave birth to music that continues to beguile audiences and attract performers of the highest calibre. Three exceptional musicians combine Debussy’s Piano Trio in G, which its teenaged composer completed during a trip to Italy and was only rediscovered 40 years ago, with a mature masterwork of the genre, infused with traces of Ravel’s Basque heritage.
