Overview

The Ukrainian-born Australian’s career took off after wins at the Vladimir Horowitz Competition in 1999 and the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in 2005. Reviewing a recording combining Liszt with Brahms, Gramophone described the pianist ‘as a virtuoso in the fullest sense … as vivid and characterful as he is dextrous … this album should be in every serious collector's library.’
