Overview

Australian lyric soprano Siobhan Stagg, praised by the great singer Christa Ludwig as owner of ‘one of the most beautiful [voices] I’ve ever heard’, made meteoric progress following early career successes in the early 2010s as a member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. She returns to Wigmore Hall with regular duo partner Jonathan Ware to contemplate the origins of life in a programme that includes ‘Doch war noch alles nicht vollbracht’ from Brett Dean’s 2020-1 evolution cantata, In This Brief Moment.
