Programme

      • Ballade No. 1 in G minor Op. 23
(arranged by Eugène Ysaÿe for violin and piano)

Overview

Adam Golka has woven a neglected treasure into this recital in the scintillating form of Juliusz Zarębski’s Ballade in G minor, presented in company with Chopin’s famous first Ballade, arranged for violin and piano. The Polish-American pianist partners Itamar Zorman, winner of the 2011 Tchaikovsky International Violin Competition, in two majestic violin sonatas by Ravel and Franck, evergreen staples of the repertoire.
