Facilities for Children & Families
Wigmore Hall is proud to meet the Family Arts Standards, reflecting its commitment to offering family-friendly events and spaces. Look out for the Fantastic for Families logo, which highlights events that are ideal for the family.
Book tickets online or through the Box Office. Many of our events sell out, so please inform the Box Office if you can’t come for any reason – even at short notice.
Collect tickets at the Box Office when you arrive if you have not already received your tickets by post or via email.
Pushchairs and scooters can be left in the foyer on the right hand side as you come in the main entrance.
The Cloakroom will be open to use for family events.
For Family Concerts and For Crying Out Loud!, the programme order will be available on each event page on the website and this will also be included in post-event communication emailed to ticket holders following events.
Booster cushions – Please ask a member of staff if your child would like a booster cushion (we have a limited number so these are subject to availability).
Ear defenders (baby, child and adult sizes) are available to use on the day of family events. These can be collected at the Box Office when you arrive.
Photos – At some of our events we may have an official photographer present. At concerts and large scale events we operate an 'opt-out' policy. For workshops each parent/carer will be asked to give written permission for photos of their child to be taken. Images or videos taken will only be used by Wigmore Hall for archive, fundraising or marketing purposes.
Toilets and baby changing facilities can be found downstairs. There are additional baby changing mats available downstairs in the David Wolf Kaye Room for For Crying Out Loud! concerts.
Younger/older siblings – Our events are designed for specific age groups, so where a minimum age or an age range is specified, we ask that you avoid bringing younger or older siblings wherever possible.
Food and drink – For Family Concerts and For Crying Out Loud! concerts, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink which you can eat in the Restaurant space. There will also be free teas, coffees and juices available for audience members.
We ask you not to take food or water (except for bottled still water in a plastic bottle) into the Auditorium.
